MainlineTruths dissects the political and social impact of the self-identified "Mainline Churches" - which include The American Baptist Churches USA, The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), The Episcopal Church, The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, The Presbyterian Church (USA), The United Church of Christ and The United Methodist Church. While the focus is on the influence of these churches, broader institutions such as the National Council of Churches and World Council of Churches are covered as well.
MainlineTruths is an extension of my first site UCCtruths.com which covers the United Church of Christ. While UCCtruths.com has been a relatively successful site with over 2,000,000 hits from over 500,000 unique users in three years, the niche focus on the UCC can not always address the broader political and social implications of Protestant churches.
Neither MainlineTruths nor myself are related in any way to any external group and this site is entirely self-funded. In the near future, the site will be supported by advertising.
From time to time, the site will have guest authors who will be clearly identified in their posts
